Whiter & Brighter Lamps

I currently have SilverStar Ultra9007 headlights and SilverStar880 fog lights. Im looking for something a little "whiter and brighter" and as for headlights, i was gonna shoot for the SilverStar zXe. Any thoughts about them? Also, what about my fog lamps? Whats pretty good out there for those?

Im not looking to upgrade assemblies due to tight budget, but i am looking for something a bit better for both headlights and fog lights with the "whiter and brighter" light.

Links would be great:)

You can put 5K HID's in the stock fog housings. I bought a kit from a member here and they work just fine. Came with ballast and wiring harness too. Brighter than hell, lol... Although I need to look into upgrading the headlights to match. It's bright enough that I could drive with just the fogs on if need be.

Eh, hids mean no high beams and more scattered light than usable.

Unless you never drive unlit roads you'll miss your highs greatly.

Ive recently been told zxe's work very well.

Might be worth a shot.

You think they are brighter then SilverStar Ultras or equal? And know anything good about fog lamps?

Yeah, forgot about that. I guess projectors would be the way to go for that. I have to read up on what's out there. I drive completely unlit roads all the time out where I live (2 lane country highway populated with deer) so HID lows def. won't work. I still need to rewire my fogs to stay on with the highs. With lows and the HID fogs it acutally seems brighter than using just the highs, and I have 100% clear headlight capsules. Could just be me though.

Was told zxe are brighter that ultras and nighthawk platinums.

Fogs bounce light around down low.

Theyre for driving in fog.

Just remember that any bulb that has a blue coating has less light output than a clear bulb. I have the philips xtreme power and those have been the best bulbs I have used. I am also running a relay harness to use them at there full potential. There are really no good bulbs in the 880 size. I would recommend an aftermarket set of glass fogs that utilize an H3 bulb.

They can be pretty good for snow storms also. I didnt have any of my SilverStars (fog and head lamps) nor did i have my new assemblies last winter so it made driving in a snow storm almost impossible on a highway until a car with bright headlights would pass me, lighting up the whole road almost, which forced me to get new assemblies and to try the SilverStars:)

That was the end of winter when i got all this.

I have 8K HIDs and i dont miss my highs since the light is scattered enough. I think there are some that have HID highs and lows, but if there are they are more pricey. You could try upgrading wiring. Headlight harness, alt rewire, alt voltage booster, ect.

I have 5k HIDs and I have never used the highs. I even live out in BFE and still don't need the highs anymore.

I'd recommend projectors and HIDs. I had them and loved them when I had my grand prix. I now have a Monte with HIDs. The headlight capsules are so much better than the grand prixs that I never need my highs.
