White grit in engine bay????

I was wondering if anyone could steer me in the right direction with this. I have a 2000 gtp that is stock. I have a leak in the oil pan gasket a coolant leak from what i believe is the intake gasket and i know i have a slow refrigerant leak. Now my issue...i have a white gritty residue on my strut tower brace and around the altenator but nothingju as i can see on the nose cone of the s/c. Its also on the coolant resevoir. Since it had been a bad winter i assumed it to be salt from the road so i just cleaned it off. But now im sure thats what it aint. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

sounds like metal shavings, pick some off with your fingers see if its gritty, if so pull your belts and check your pulleys.

Thank you. I was able to check the s/c belt pulleys and they looked fine. I think it may possibly be from the waterpump. I also found a bit of coolant on top of it. Ill have to dig in further later on.

coolant could be the upper elbow leaking.

the a/c compressor clutch likes to put out metal savings too, so look down by it. belt off, spin the ring the belt rides on. if it sounds like metal on metal thats your issue.

you can also use a magnet to see if the chips stick to it. if so its metal for sure.
