Which years transmissions for 00 GTP?

00 GTP with tanny problems, believe it's the torque converter or pump. I'm probably going to swap a junk yard tranny till I can get a nice one from Triple Edge. Will all 97-03 GTP(HD) transmissions work for a direct swap?

If I'm understanding this correctly, 97-02's will work, with the only exception being if I get a 98, I'll also have to use 98 cooling lines?

97-02 will work. You won't need different lines you'll just have to use the fittings off the trans that's in your car now if they are different
 
97 and 98 had threaded lines going into the trans, 99-02 had push and click lines. Technically you can use the trans and either swap lines or use hose and the connector type needed. It's that extra 30 minutes of work/adapting.

97-02 work in a 97-02 with that one caveat
03 needs it's own TCM to control it. One year wonder
04-08 are fairly compatible as well, with BL on the tag being the most compatible per Dave at TEP.

I've done nearly every combo of car/trans going. Only other caveat is if you want to put the trans in an H body, it needs the added webbing/structure on the back of the case for the mount in that body style that the W body does not require.
