which wire do i splice to?

WHATS UP JUST INSTALLED MY GAUGE INTO my ac vent but i cant figure out which wire to splice into i have an 05 gtp and spliced it into some pink wire on the side of the dash by the side panel you had to remove to get into the vent for some reason the light isnt working does anyone know the exact color or the wire to splice into and wheres it located or could they take a pic thanks
 


Yea I'm guessing that's my best best was hoping to splice into something closer on the driver side but ill do the add a fuse
