Which is my better spark plug option?

Im currently running autolite 104's (mods are in my sig) and my question is should I stick with them or should I switch to ngk tr6's? I was talking to someone selling his built gtp on craigslist and he said to switch, as I am getting around 7* of KR at WOT. Should I take his advice or should I just stay with the 104's? Or should I go with something else?

Swapping plugs is not going to get rid of 7* of knock.

Ever.

Sounds like that thing needs some better wires, headers, and a solid tune.

A plog and 3in downpipe should be plenty to run that 3.5.

This KR problem could be many things. Not running the proper grade fuel, bad mounts causing the motor to move too much, I dont see a fuel pump rewire on your mod list, and that canned tune likely doesnt have the correct changes for those mods.

Not really.

If these cars knock with headers on a 3.5" why would a PLOG/DP combo be any better?

These cars are getting older and more tired...they knock easier and don't like being modded.

On top of that, "Y" car might be able to run those mods...but "X" car can't.

It needs headers and a solid, dialed in tune.

I figured it needs a dyno tune rather then having the shelf tune it has now. I dont know of any places around here that tune these cars. Plus money is tight right now, and I am taking it easy on the car. I just didnt know if I could at least lower it some by changing plugs which is cheap enough.

Look up the pa wbody syndicate on facebook. Plenty of people that will tune you. Get ahold of 2003ssei on here. His name is pat, and he is in the pa group. He's a good tuner.

Are your 104's copper or iridium? How many miles are on them? Spark plugs are not making 7*KR. I'm voting vac/exhaust leak/tune... Or you've had copper plugs in for more than 15k mi and they're worn out. Or out of gap.

They are copper plugs, got them on zzp website. They dont have 15k miles on them though, I replaced them this summer.

Hm, let's start easy.
Make sure you have no vacuum or exhaust leaks. Make sure your maf and throttlebody are clean.
Go grab some cheap store-brand spark plug wires and try them.
Next thing I'd suggest is maybe trying 605's instead of those 104's since you've only got a 3.5" pulley.

When I get a chance, im going to pull some plugs to see how they are wearing to see if I need to replace them. Ill try new wires as well. And if I can, get a tune. haha
