• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Which intake?

I've seen people all stock 3800s gain 2 tenths at the track going from the stock intake to an open cone filter.
These kind of things were debunked 10+ years ago. I'm not sure how everything is so muddied up here.

Exact same 60's?

Exact same temps?

Same track?

Same driver?

Lots of variables.

All I noticed with an intake (open cone on the TB that is) was more blower whine and a little better throttle response.

start a new thread. post pics of the stock extra hoses. someone will know.

ive seen pics in a thread a long while ago. its do able.

i mean i already fixed up my intake now by drilling a hole in the aluminum and threading it, then i put a 90 degree brass joint in the hose, pex clamed it and then screwed it in to the intake. i could do the same to the k&n if its tubing is made out of something i can drill and thread. thats what i want to know. the smog pump just needs to be getting air from the intake somehow so it can put it in the exhaust so it makes it seem cleaner lol. i hate that damn smog pump

yeah i kno i want to. its just too much work for right now. if i did that i would be messing with the exhaust and i dont have the money for that. and when ever i delete it i would be putting headers on and i dont have money for that either haha

Pics of said smog pump?

I don't think it'd be any harder than capping off and deleting an EVAP system or the EGR.
