Which Hids

krippled

New member
everyone is prob getting tired of these threads but...
i'm kinda lost on which hids to get zzp's, wbodystore, the 3B specialites, or the ebay ones I don't want any of the bi-xenon kits.I'm thinking i'm going to go with 4300k cause it has the most light output, correct me if i'm wrong.is there really that much of a different in the kits?Is one kit noticably better than the others? oh and if it matters it'll be for a regal so i'll be needing the 9006 and not the 9007
thanks

Ive got the 6k HID's from 3b specialities and i couldnt be happier. There is really not much of a difference between all the kits as they are all pretty much the same. You are definitely going to want to pick up a wiring harness so that the ballasts are not drawing power through the factory wiring. I dont the ZZP kit has a harness. And it looks like the w-body store one is an extra $35. So Id say just go with the 3B specialities kit. It gets shipped to you UPS next day air and you know that you will be getting great customer service. If you choose to go the ebay route, just pick up a wiring harness from 3B specialties for $15 shipped.

just got the 3B kit and it's all plug and play, comes with harness. As said above, gets shipped Next Day. so far so good.

all hids are bright yes the higher up on the k scale you loose lumens, but nothing you will notice unless put next to each other, 10k being one of the bluest and supposedly dimmest is still 2-3 times brighter then normal bulbs...my buddy has 10k and are bright as hell... so dont be afraid to go for little blue if thats what you like..

but keep in mind many states frown on blue lights on the front of a car (I got a ticket from Lapeer City police for having blue tinted bulbs in my fog lights)

which high/low kit is it? does the bulb move in/out, up/down or a moving shield ? (or dual arc?

The only kits you want are either the TILTING arc or the single fixed arc. The shield is useless with a reflector application, and the retracting and dual arc kits are not going to perform worth a damn in reflector housings. It's ALL marketing bull****...

have you ever seen a 9007 tilting bulb kit?? I've never seen one!

Yes!

No clue. Almost all of the online Chinese vendors use a "stock" HID kit photo and do not show you the actual bulbs. It's all a scam...
