so i got a cheap aftermarket headunit. the stock one took a poop. it came with free shipping, the wire harness and installation bullsh*t. so more power to me, nothing wrong with free.

anyways im planning on doing the 70-1858 harness, because its cheap. i read thru this (http://www.grandprixforums.net/radio_install_info.php) a handful of times and im still confused. i NEED the harness to work with the bose right? or can i just use the harness that came with the headunit? and is it plug and play?

There is no bumping in the audio section unless you're in your car....

plug in the harness they give you, connect pink wire from bose harness and magic will happen
 
^^What he said, just rip it out of the harness or cut it and hook it up to the remote wire on your deck. And you will have tunes again.
