Which fuel injector?? is there a difference?

My car needs a new fuel injector, a 2000 GTP, my mechanic said i need a special one for the GTP that is different from the naturally aspirated 3.8L engine, but i searched a few online stores and they all give me the same one as the non supercharged engine so im not sure, also if there is a difference and i need a special one where can i get it?

just go to the parts store and tell them you want one for a GTP. the n/a injectors flow less than the gtp ones do. a single new injector will be about 70-80 bucks.
 
yeah the only places really are autozone and advance auto, both places have complete idiots working for them and in their system they will give me the same injector
 
ok thanks, any idea where i can get them or how i can check if they are right because if you go to autozone it doesnt say how many pounds it is
 
you might be able to find a stock one from a GPF member for less. post in the wanted to buy section, make sure you get 97-03 GTP injectors as the 04+ use 33#.

do some searching for part numbers online for oem replacements and compare what you get for GTPs and GTs if you are looking to buy new. either way be sure to clean up your whole set before putting 'em back in.
 


im looking for it new cuz i need it asap, yeah every time i go to compare online they are the same for GT and GTP or they dont let me specify if it is a gtp it only asks for the year make and model not what sub model it is so i just assume it will be wrong
 
use rockauto.com, they have the right injectors listed. then cross reference those part numbers to autozone/advance/oreillys site.
