• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

seriously, youll probably be able to find one of those for the cheapest and make it fast for cheapest. sounds like a win win to me. well, unless you get into a GTO. i have two friends that are dueling with both of those cars. one has a cam/heads/exhaust/stall trans am that runs mid 11s and the other has a magnacharged GTO with exhaust and suspension mods and he also runs mid 11s. it is really a toss up between the two, i think prices would be fairly comparable depending upon the car you find.

haha i think you missed the part were he said he would like to keep it stock and use it for busniss purpeses only. drive clients around a what not. if hes got a few clients im sure they would hate to sit in the back of a sports car like that.

if im not mistaken he has or had an s-10 with an ls1 in it with cam and heads. so he has his play car.

Well after the reliable 2000 took a dump today I am scrambling. I think I may go the way the poll is looking.

I will be over at the dealerships this coming week.

I'd say G8 GT over GXP, unless the manual is a deal breaker for you. The GT will go over 400 HP easily (I know you wanted to stay stock, but intake, headers, and tune is is basically stock, right?:th_thumbsup-wink:). Even if you plan on staying completely stock, I don't think you'll notice enough difference (considering how you plan to use the car) to cover the difference in cost.

Consider also that there are a lot of GT's sitting on the lot right now, but the GXP is still new and not too common. This means that dealers will be much more willing to negotiate on the GT than the GXP.

I have narrowed the field down to 2 Pontiacs...

05-06 GTO Impulse Blue

or

G8 GT- stryker Blue Metallic

both will be used for travel.. and are within 5k of each other at some dealerships down in Chicago. SO. I drive an hour or so to see them.

If I were to buy a GTO I would try to find a 6spd. I just dont like the fact for the autos when you put it in drive the rear squats. I never liked that feeling....

Well here is the latest update. I went to local dealerships... they are NOT budging on prices.. chicago dealerships are 7gran less on price for a G8. SO.. I am making the drive.

I FOUND an 06 GTO....6spd... with 3500 miles on it for 23,5......... I think that may have swung me into a GTO. 10K less than a G8, and still have a new car.

I am calling the person today first thing.

I think you would be better off with the G8. You are gonna spend at least half of that 10k to get the HP and power the G8 has over the GTO. Besides.......why would want a "stick" as a business car?

Either way........Good luck :)
