• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I hate when i go to replace something on a used car, and i find things like the clusterf---- I found while replacing my water pump on my Trans am...5/6 of the bolts came off. The other, apparently when the last guy replaced it, lost a bolt and replaed it with Allthread and a lock nut...He didn't even put it in the right spot!! No wonder the water pump was leaking...and becasue of GM's fantastic design, leaked all over and SOAKED the opti-spark. So i get to replace that now too, once i figure out how to get that allthread that doesn't wanna come out, out, not to mention its being held on by...what looks like a vibration dampner that's sealed on with rubber cement or something. And of course its not one of the easy bolts to get to, but one of the most difficult, hidden ones on the pump. Feel free just to go to Autozone or the dealership or something and buy a damn $2 replacement bolt that's legit. Not to mention that, but I think he tried other bolts to use and didn't put them back, because there is stuff thta's supposed to be bolted into the firewall via a metal bracket....that is just floating in free space. Thanks for that. Your laziness does not = ingenuity. It equals a bigger asspain when I have to replace it.

I hear ya, but I am also guilty of such "injenuity", haha, sometimes when the car your working on is the only ride you got, you have to do "what ever it takes" to get it going.

i was helping my friend fix his car and it wasn't fixed as good as we could of had it. All he said was "that will ride" and
he closed the hood. lol good times

that sounds like a pain. and knowing first hand what the engine bay of an F-body looks like... best of luck

The term, "good enough for Government work", is silly lol but some people still do things poorly. Sorry to hear the trouble though. I'm the kind of guy though that will fix things the right way the first time though lol. Others that don't do it the right way the first time probably have a reason though too lol

I work for the government, so I understand that statement, but it took me 5 mins and a little better than a dollar to get the replacement bolt from Lowes. Just sayin---
