Ok soo im gonna be stepping up my interior soo i figured ill start off with a a nice steering wheel cover. I want mine red on the top and bottom, well im stuck on eaither having it just regular or having it Perforated on the top and bottom, Which do you guys tink looks better ??

The best wheel covers I've seen are katskin's or catskin's maybe someone can chime and tell me if i am right or wrong.

If its for the wheel Perforated Leather is the only way to go because it lets the stock wheel under neath breath and wont let the sweat collect on the wheel and cause staining and what not

Umm, dont fall over in shock, but I actually agree with this.

Break out the hot glue gun and add some glitter:) jk
I would buy a different wheel completely. IMO

Hmmmmmm............ :D

What car is that?? its not a G8 is it? And before I got my car it was owned by a female I found glitter on the shift knob and dash.

Wheelskinz covers are nice if installed properly. I have one I have yet to install. I think i'll have my GF do it though, I don't do sewing work at all. Mine is dark grey/light grey + perferated. I mainly got it for a thicker/softer wheel for my sore hands. Plus it'll add some looks too.

Yea i wanted to add some touch to the inside, but i only have enough cash for the a pillar and the guages, btw thanks for your help! oh and i wont get the a/f guage some people told me to get it before with no reason why to get it, instead ill get something that i always like which would be the voltage gauge. soo ill get the boost, oil pressure and the voltage. But anyways I wanted to get the steering wheel cover also because theirs a dig mark into the steering wheel and i can feel it every time i turn the wheel it buggs the crap out of me. Dont those steering wheels get mighty cold in the morning ? I keep my car in the garage and it steel freezing cold.

Glad I wasnt the only one who found glitter. My car was previously owned by a woman and I found glitter also LOL

I had wheelskins on my last 3 GP's and they held up great, just give em a little leather cleaner every once in a while and I had no discoloration or anything in 40-50k miles. The '01+ wheels were a little harder than previous years due to the bumps so you really have to stretch the material to cover. My first attempt I had a big gap all the way around then I saw detaildude's where his met in the middle so I went back and re-did mine really pulling and stretching and it looked a lot better. That'd be my tip if you do it, put the cover on maybe the day before and let it stretch out, and then even if you have to get a friend to help, really stretch it as you're stitching so it looks the best.

^Thats a good tip.

I didn't like any that were on the market, and didn't like their prices either, so I had mine custom made. I didn't give it much effort to close the gap though. It will be coming off in a few more months for a new steering wheel. :th_scratchhead: hummm.....what could it be oh what could it be. :th_lipssealed2:

Use more lotion.

:D

lotion? LOL

I work w/ my hands daily, there always dried out, ugly, and sore. I'm used to it by now. I've done hard labor since I was 18 years old for the oil field.

I don't allow anything with glitter near my car or house. If it is a gift it get double trash bagged and taken to the store for return.
