Wheel bolt pattern measurement?

measure the distance between two of the holes center to center that are farthest away from one another. it is going to be hard getting a good measurement without a digital calipers.

which wheels? normally there are specs online for just about everything. our bolt pattern is 5x115, but we can run 5x114.3 wheels too.

The pair of wheels that I am running on my car currently (in the pic; Jesse James ".44s") have two bolt patterns. Got the 5x115, but looking to determine the other size, since I am selling them. With the different patterns being so close to one another (tenths of a millimeter), even with digital calipers how do you get a good measurement (e.g. finding center of the hole)?

Would a typical local wheel shop be able to ascertain dimensions, if I brought a wheel in?

research the wheel online. you'll probably find specs for it way faster than measuring it and it wont be a guess.

gave that a shot, but came up empty handed. I can find the overall specs on the wheel: width, offest, spacing... but not the different bolt patterns that would be drilled in them

im not sure how that would make any sense for any lug pattern, let alone 5 bolt. anything to back this up?
Google "measure bolt pattern".

How To Measure A Wheel Bolt Pattern

I just went through this in selling my Super Coupe wheels; buddy thought he knew what he was doing, and couldn't get 5x108 in his measuring. Instead of listening to me try and tell him how to measure them properly, he insisted that Ford had made some strange bolt pattern. I even showed him a picture of the wheel on my SC, and brought him an SC wheel to compare. :th_angry2:

good info

Thing is 5x108 is a werid bolt pattern.. haha:th_laugh-lol3::th_laugh-lol3:

A buddy of mine was trying to sell some rims with a 5x108 bolt and asked me what other cars they would fit.. I said 5x108?? Good question... lol

thanks bronco. however, i would never manually measure a set of wheels when there is an absolute plethora of information on the web. good to know, though.

Found out yesterday that the other pattern is a 5x108 (according to the measuring instrument used at Tire Barn). So it seems I have 5x115 and 5x108, assuming that Tire Barn is correct.
