i have a 2006 gp se. the motor is bone stock. how come i cant find any performance parts for the se?! i find stuff for the gt and gtp all day but not the se! i kno its base model but what the heck is going on? i dont plan on to many performance mods, all i want for now is an intake and exhaust. (i dont want to hurt her) but i cant find them. what are you other se owners using? I figured the stuff for the gt would fit but then again its got dual exhaust and the se dont. that would mess up the back pressure if you did that wouldnt it?

does that have the 3.8L engine in it?

I assume since he posted in the 3.8 NA section, that it has just that...but you know what happens when you assume.

I am not sure of the differences between the L36 and the L26. But I would imagine that a lot of engine parts would fit. By that I mean rockers, cam, etc.

But being that you don't want to do a lot to it, I would look into getting exhaust done. The exhaust from a GT or GTP should fit your. But not 100% certain. But better yet, find some mufflers, and have someone put those on for you. And try to find a K&N air filter, or something similar. Sorry I am not much help...but just saying not to give up hope, there are things that you can do.

I think after 2004 the SE is a 3800 NA, and the GT is a SuperCharged 3800. Most of the 97-03 GT mods should work on your motor.

so if i just do exhaust and intake i wouldnt need to upgrade my pcm would i? sorry im used to hondas so i dont really kno bout the grandprixs. this is my second gp but i didnt mod the 1st one. i feel stupid askin all these questions

First, dont feel stupid asking all these questions. I'll ban you for a month if you say that again. Okay, not really, LOL. We are here to help you so ask away. You are part of this community now and as such you have access to the collective knowledge here. As well, we were ALL at the point you are at one time, new and trying to learn.

With regards to the question you asked. You dont necessarily have to upgrade your PCM if you do the exhaust and intake work but I would HIGHLY suggest you contact Will at Overkill motorsports and get a PCM from him because he can program it to take full advantage of your car and the mods you do.

I agree about not feeling stupid. We were all there once. And we learned by asking questions. So ask away :)

But I would also suggest getting a PCM as they make great noticable gains..probably more than exhaust or an intake.

well i was thinking about the gt dual exhaust but looking under my car i saw the way the gas tank is shaped and where the brake and feul lines run it seemed like it wasnt very duable. does the gt exhause bolt on the se without any clearance prolems?
