• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

whats this connector?

ok have this connector on the fire wall... it was connected on my old harness for the DOHC but not on the L36... the same connector can be seen hanging from the C100 connector in the next pic as well... this car is a 96 LS

and there is a connector on the l36 (98Z) that has no where to go in. all the sensors are connected and accounted for... just an extra?

The first connector looks like one of the two connections to the ICM because it's on the back of the doh's IIRC. I know the 3100 is back there.

the two ICM connectors are still on the 96 harness... :( someone told me they think it is the rear/ post cat o2 sensor. i will check when i work on the car today after work.

All the harnesses I've seen, the post cat was solid wired all the way to the cat..which is a serious length longer than that wire.

Which vehicle is this harness from?

Only things I've seen back there on a 3800 would be evap or cali emissions. Both os those are a two pin connector.

OK have the answer... the fire wall plug is for the rear O2 sensor on the DOHC and 3100's and the plug on the 98Z harness is for a Fan Relay #3!
got confirmation of this when i was at the junk yard picking up the throttle cable i needed off that totaled Police Lumina

I know I my 2002 Monte L36 harness there is a plug in that exact area too that is not used. It is for the AIR system that I don't have on my car.

Glad you figured it out!
