ok,after we gotn done doing our intake gaskets ,we now discovered the top piece that says 3100 is cracked a little,whats that piece called because autozone cant find anything under intake cover or anything.
 


That's your Upper intake manifold.

Autozone wont have that. Your best bet is to go to a junkyard/u-pull it and grab one. Shouldnt be but $10-15.
 
Describe the piece for us or take a picture. Kinda hard to know exactly which one without more info. Are you talking about just the plastic engine cover? Is it metal? Do any wires or vacuum lines run into it?
 
its not a 3.8 its 3.1 liter and yes vacum lines,air box and other stuff runs to it and its whats in plain view when you pop up the hood it says 3100 sfi and yes it metal
