• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Whats the point?

It stiffens the mounts (limiting their flex). Its one of those things everyone should do, makes the feel of the car much better in shifts and putting power down. The car rides/drives no worse, better IMO.

yeah its so simple i cant figure out how to do it still lol. ive been told to use tons of lube tho

is there a writeup on how to flip your dog bones lol. i was told my car has alot of flex and might need new trans n motor mounts.

I took it to a professional Grand Prix mechanic, and the mechanic which is my dads friend said there is no point of flipping the dog bone bushing.

you dads friend dont what it means then, or what it does. take your dog bone off, and look at the rubber mount from the side, you will see clearly why you would want to flip the bushing.

I wouldn't say there's a professional Grand Prix Mechanic lol. Try it out and tell us how it feels...I bet you'll notice a difference. So called mechanics don't know everything just because they work on so and so and have so and so experience doesn't mean everything and books cant teach you everything...food for thought. Something's you gotta try yourself.

Yes they make quite but of difference with a hour of your time and the cost of WD40.

Three things...

1) Flipping the dog bones puts less stress on the lower mounts; which fail often. It also limits movement in the factory exhaust, which eliminates chances for the factory flex to break (that happens as well)

2) Your Dad's friend obviously doesn't know the platform. Smack him in the face and tell him he's dumb. Also tell him to read the thread I typed up that explains everything. You can find it in my signature below.

3) Audi R8's are lame, lol.
