What's the best oil to run in my 05 gtp?

About to install a new oil pan so I figured I might go ahead and switch to synthetic. Was thinking about royal purple. Any recommendations? 5w30 or 10w30?
 


Sure royal purple if you want to over pay for some purple bottles.

Stick with 5w30 and pick any syn brand you wish really. I prefer valvoline oil but in reality oil is oil. Just some brands offer different amounts of detergents or zinc etc etc.

I also run the cheapest crap I can because it works and I only drive it 4k a year.
 
I would save your money and just get any synthetic oil. I'm actually running quaker synthetic right now. Could not beat the price at walmart for the jug.
 
Run 10w-30 in the summer months and 5w-30 in the winter months. If in canada 5w-30 year round is recommended. I run 10w-30 all year round because I only change it slightly more than once a year lol. I'm running mobil 1 but any name brand oil is fine with me. Remember if you have any other oil leaks synthetic will only leak more. I had that issue when switching to synthetic but I just fixed the things that were leaking.
