What's the best coolant flush method?

I have a Prestone flushing kit that backflushes with the water hose. I have tried some cleaners bought at AZ. I tried the Bobs the Oil guy dishwashing detergent method too but nothing can remove the dexcool sludge that is in the radiator and the rest of the cooling system. I'm getting a new radiator but want to clean the entire system before using the new radiator. Is there a product out there that will clean all the sludge out first try?

On BITOG “they” recommend dishwasher detergent. NOT dishwashing detergent. There is a big difference.:th_nervous:
About the only method to get Dex out, is multiple drain and refills of the coolant. Just use plain (or DI if you like) water to fill it up. Drive it for a day, then repeat like 4 times. Then drain and use what ever coolant you had in mind. GL

He's right,
drain, fill with water, drive a day,...repeat.
To drain mine, all I did was use a long clear vynil hose pushed to the bottom of the radiator thought the cap opening, then siphon into empty jug (gallon or bigger).
