whats it take to hit 300hp

300whp? Full size intercooler, CAI, Headers, Rockers or cam, ported heads, 3.0 pulley or smaller, 42lb injectors.

Why can no one search or read anymore?

United States must mean illiterate in every other language

coming from someone who has almost 8000 posts in not quite 2yrs? sorry ill search again and read the one post that comes up about this exact subject of what does it take to hit 300hp, sorry for wasting your time on a forum designed to ask questions .

Like said above, a good cam setup, or intercooler rockers/cam and a built tranny at that level.

Everyone should stop replying to these posts if your sick of them or have nothing useful to add, the first two posts were enough information for the guy. It's like every new member we get on here goes through a hazing. If you want respect, you should treat others with some.

You of all people should know mang...you've been here a long time. It isn't the helping fact...it is the fact that there are at least 3 or 4 of these threads in the past couple months with the same title...how to get 300 horsepower. I'm just saying it isn't hard to look for it. Plus, pretty sure I covered how to make a decent amount of power in that 10 pages of Word I turned into the safely modding thread. Maybe I didn't include horsepower figures but...damn...sorry for trying to make an effort towards the community...at least that's how I feel about it...

thats a good writeup and all, but doesnt really answer my question. it basically gives you info on what to do to run like a 3.4 pulley and lower. doesnt really specify hp#'s at all even. i mean a 3.4 pullied and modded car is what...20hp over stock, 50hp? 75? i would have no idea after reading that thread. it actually states how to safely mod your 3800 car to 12's or faster. does doing a 3.4 pulley put these cars into the 12's? a 3.2 pulley? do i need a cam, rockers and intercooler to hit 12's? ive searched this forum a good bit, no havent been all threw it but i havent seen how what im asking has been beaten to death. now if there was a sticky somewhere saying a 3.4 pullied car = "x" hp, 3.2 = "x" hp 3.1 = "x" hp then i could understand but... and thanks to those who have actually tried to answer my question :th_thumbsup-wink:

Hp is relative, to each car. Why does everyone want to make hp? I say everyone should have a goal of track times, like i want to run 11's. Then you can get the car dynoed and say you have "x" hp.

im with you.. mini.. im trying to get my car to 12's by the end of this year. the hp fact doesnt matter right now untill i get to my 12's.

I would like to run 5's just because that would have to be pretty awesome to be behind the wheel of that. but.. realistically yeah my goals 11's as well haha.
