What year transmissions are compatable with a 2002 GP GT?

My trans is on the way out and the nearest salvage yard has a couple of low mileage transmissions from 2003-06 model years. I guess I'm wondering if these units will fit my car without modification? and will they eventually have the same issue with the fourth gear hub assembly like my trans has? Thanks Guys LJ

you would have to swap the valve body and another component.

you need to find a 98-02 GT trans, so 3.29 gears.

03+ cars changed ALOT, most 04+ are 3.05 gears.

Yeah I got the shift pressure solenoid changed over a year ago....it was good until now. It has the intermittent hard shifting issue, I was told the fluid is reddish brown but not burnt....it comes and goes randomly, but when I had my 2000 Buick Lesabre it would do the same but it eventually got alot worse..., I had to have the fourth gear assembly replaced and it was 1300.00 so I was looking to avoid that option this time but it think I may have to.
