What would happen if??

I have a MPS and am running a 3.1 now I have a 3.4 what would happen if I switched back to the 3.4 and kept my tune for the 3.1? I am only wondering for the safety of my motor...I think I have most things done right but I would have less of a chance of hurting things if I was running less boost? Or what size pulley should I run?
