I have a 98 GTP its gold with golden rims

i got a great deal on a great car, but neither me or any of my friends like the gold rims

iv yet to see another gp with them on it, are these after market? stock? premium wheel option or what?

also if i dont like them is my only option to buy new wheels? or is their a way to get them professionally painted or anything?

thanks for your time

this is not my pic but these are what i have

Do they just have a little gold tinge to them? What about the badges? are they gold too?

they look ugly as sin on my car, is there any way to like paint them without it looking like a 12 year old wanted to paint his rims? lol or will i have to buy all new ones

"Gold Edition" Grand Prix's come with gold anodized rims. Check what color your badges are and if you have a gold pin stripe on your car.

so then lets go to the second half of my thread

is there anyway to change the color of them? if so how? and how much $ am i looking at

With the right prep and materials you might be at the most looking at like $50, not too bad.

I've seen the fat 5 spoke rims in gold. I didn't know if it was a real Gold edition though. There was no Pin Stripe, and the bumpers were gold and so were the grilles.

Yes, I was going to say that to. The flat 5 spoke wheels come in gold too.

ever heard of SPRAY PAINT???!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahaha

Get some paint and paint them any color you want. Just cleant them real good. Sand a little to scuff the stock paint and spray away.

its possible, but ive really only seen them on 97s from what i can remember.

spray paint wont chip if you do the proper prep and use decent paint.

spray paint works fine just prep them corectly prep is key to any paint job

sand the area to be painted lightly wipe down with something like rubbing alcohal to remove residues and tape of areas you dont want paint on
paint in light coats
