what to do

ok so i been thinking about some possibilities on what to do with my car
i have a set of rockers laying around and i been thinking about selling them and gettin a used cam.
this is my dd but a cam would be more badass then rockers, and i would have to get new springs with the rockers
or should i stop spending money on this car and get a v8?

depends how far you want to go. If you want a quick car and still have good gas mileage do the rockers. If you want a faster car do a cam. If you want a fast car get an ls car and cam that.

if you just want to touch 12s in your car then sell the cam. if you want consistant mid 12s or faster than you need that cam.

I ran a XP on the daily and if I was nice to it I even saw 32.3 mpg's on the highway...for about 40 miles or so...then I flogged it...21.9 :p If your nice to it...it'll be nearly the same as stock with a good tune...just quite a bit faster :D

im not very nice to my car. i like to hear the s/c whine
i just got like 24mpg's mostly all highway. dic said 26
just read a little about installing the cam. seems like a good bit of work

If you are local to anyone, try riding in a cammed car and a rockered car. make your choice of which you'd prefer.

Personally, I went cam after riding in both. Then added rockers. :th_king-evil:

i would probably like a cam more. cause of the sound and stuff. but it seems like it would be a b!tch to do, and i wouldnt be happy about the mpg decrease

Having had a XP cammed L36 with a SSIC, I would say go for a full-size IC and rockers. You will be plenty fast, don't have to worry about the timing chain/dampener, fuel mileage will pretty much not change, and driveability unaffected. Then get some headers after that, good headers.
