:th_sign-help: as many of you know, my cars a piece of ****! lol. I want to make it nice but i keep running into problems. So i get in my car this morning and start it up and my check engine light is going nuts! blinking frequently for about 30 seconds, i dont feel it misfire or anything, i start to notice my gas mileage is horrible so i think im not burning my fuel i think im getting raw fuel into cylinder one.. is this possible? i just changed all the spark plugs and wires and still happening! Im thinking maybe its just an injector? Also my temp gauge is moving like a mother ****er! bouncing from about 160 to 210 in seconds, could this be a water pump problem or a bad sensor? I just had my coolant flushed so i dont think its the coolant. Ugh im so sick of my problems. Any help would be very appreciated!

Did you make sure you reconnected all your spark plug wires, they arent loose? Or check them for damage?

the spark plugs are all gapped right, the connection on the wires are good, and they are look brand new.

Please double check the plugs and wires. You might have just done them, but if you pull one and it's wet, that tells you some new info.

Coolant bouncing sounds a lot like a low coolant level from an air bubble when it was filled. The bubble finally worked free and left you half full. The coolant then flows over the thermostat sporadically and causes the quick fluctuations in temp.

AIR POCKETS SUCK.

Happened on LSick7's car when we did the LIM gaskets...bled the system a bit and fixed it...start your car and open the bleeder screw on the top of the T-Stat housing to let any air out if there IS air in there. As for the misfire...where are you located? I could help you out if need be. Just because they are new plugs/wires doesn't mean they might be bad or something...did you cross a wire or something? What is the code anyways? Sometimes...a bad MAF causes a misfire and flashing SES light. Send me a PM or something if you wanna meet up and I could try to help ya out if you want. But, try unplugging the MAF sensor first...that's free.

Yeah double check the plugs and wires. Get the codes read and then go from there. If it is a miss on a single cylinder swap the coils around.

took it to my mechanic today hes going to take care of it, said misfire on cylinder 1 and he believes its the coil pack and ive also had problems with the injector so hes replacing that as well so hopefully thatll do it.

Thanks blue, but any chance you could help me with my build? i need help deciding everything i want to do and im not very handy but have all the tools to make a great car.. send me a pm if interested.
