• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What song are you listening to right now? (instant post count)

I feel like it's their version of metallica's Load/Reload.

Maybe just the black album.

But it's definitely that type of vibe.

Hard rock if anything.

Hey look, the commenters thing so too.

I mean In Flames did it, Megadeth did it, Metallica did it, etc.

My friend who's into music a lot say it's Avenged Sevenfolds black album. I like it a lot, has the old rock/metal vibe all throughout and it's becoming my favorite album from them. Keeping that style alive instead of all this metalcore crap like Asking Alexandria n shizzzzzz. But to each his own.

New

And this entire album was just mastered wrong.

No matter what I listen to it on, the cymbals are totally inconsistent in their tone. It just changes. Not in the way hitting a ride in a different spot changes, but as in someone kept playing with the EQ. Hell you can hear that in the crappy youtube quality.

It's also very fatiguing.

Yes Dickinson, I want my damn $15 back.

Ya it's nice to see band evolve and not stay stagnant. That's why I love A7X, every album is new and funky fresh. I mean, when they began in 99.....Woof...

I'll be honest, the only A7X album I actually like is Waking the Fallen. Everything after that just blended together into a collective pile of meh. Nothing stood out other than a few songs.

Sieze the Day, Strength of the World, M.I.A., A Little Piece of Heaven, Warmness on the Soul. That's just looking at the list. Everything else I couldn't be bothered to even click. Seems ironic that those are the ballads yet I'm picking on them for losing their edginess.

It's like Disturbed. As much as people like to think they changed, they didn't.

The Sickness was mostly good. Few bad songs. Believe was crap, 10 000 was alright, Indesctructible: meh. And if they released anything after that, I never bothered, I'm not too enthused to look into it further given their last three weren't that great.

Another band I haven't listened to in eons: Children of Bodom. Listening to their older stuff, it's alright. But starting at Blood drunk, I just can't do it.

In Flames follows that same fate as well.

Metal on the whole, it's kinda lame.

This on the other hand:

I agree. But they have softened up over the years because that's where they wanted to head. Waking the Fallen was a bad ass album in nearly every way but I still love all their songs. Don't know why.
