i just ordered my new mufflers. 2.25 inlet and outlet. what size tips do i need to get in order to fit. I dont want to order the wrong size too big or too small. Dumb question. but i dont want to screw it up

2.25" inlet tips to bolt onto the muffler, whatever kind of ends you want. With some slight cutting you can fit a dual 4" off a corvette in the cutouts but you need some modification to make them fit right. 3.5" duals are usually perfect fits and can be had on Ebay for around $100 pair, unless you can find a good deal.

2 STAINLESS STEEL DUAL EXHAUST TIPS PAIR 3.0 3.5 Camaro Trans Am 3" 3.5" Mustang | eBay

Yonaka Universal Dual Angled Stainless Steel Exhaust 3.5" Tip Dodge Challenger | eBay

Either should work well.

personally, i'd go with the slanted/angled tips. mine are straight vertical, while they look nice, the angled ones will be more flush with the bumper. make sure they're not sloppy either, nothing is more of a turn off than even tips that stick out 5 feet

Has anybody put a magnaflow setup on there car? If so is there a real difference or r u just paying for a name! Thanks

I have the ebay 3.5" duals on mine. Great look imo. Had to trim a little bit of the exhaust opening in the rear bumper to make them sit in as far as i wanted, but not a big deal at all. Def good quality and worth the 100 dollhairs!! (Pics in link in my sig.)

For the tips you shouldve bought 2.75" inlet or so. You can prob take them to an exhaust shop and have them flare out the inlet tube so itll slide over your 2.50" outlet on your new muffler. My mufflers were 2.25" in/outlet then we flared those out to fit over the 2.25" stock pipe. ( might be the wrong measurements, but you get the idea).

I bought those 3.5 tips for mine. I had to buy adapters to clamp them to the exhaust. Good quality, I'm very happy with them.

2.25 inlet, with a 3.5 outlet. I have duals like that, and they fit perfectly. Also, get 'em welded if you have new mufflers as well.
