What Projector Headlight to get for Xmas?

So I convinced my sister to get me some projector headlights for Xmas/Bday (4 days apart). I did use the search function and found some posts. From a few hours of reading it seems that the best two (not saying much since they all appear to be cheaply made) are the Spyder Projectors from ebay and the http://www.dashzracing.com/97-03-pontiac-grand-prix Halo LED Projector headlights from Dash racing, but can also be found cheaper on ebay.

I would like people who have had either please chime in on the current condition and ownership experience.

Also my two biggest concerns are, how well they are sealed? Do they have any condensation build up over time?

How durable they are? Any broken tabs or adjustment screws? Any early pitting on the plastic lenses, or opaqueness?

I am not so much worried about the bounce, because I plan on using weather stripping to keep hem better clamped between the hood and the headlight mounts.

your best bet would be to retro,
youll be much happier
anyways on to your questions
i seen where ppl have had to reseal them and others havent had a problem, just depends on your luck
same with the durability, ive seen ppl have them for years without any problems and others who had the tabs break as soon as they install them and the adjustment is a pita
so its really just about your luck and if you get a good batch or not

But seriously, just do a retro and be happier and safer

there was a guy on here that did them
but he got into a pissing match with mods and got banned
not sure if he still does them of not but i think he might be on gpona

I had the spyder projectors. The first set that I bought developed hazing and the clear coat was peeling off within 1 year of owning them. I had them replaced under warranty since I lived close to the place that I bought them from. They were just ok. They bounced like crazy and the brackets are cheap. They don't use the factory style bracket so if you break them then you're out of luck unless it's repairable. I had HIDs in mine as well. Never had any issues with them. I ended up doing my own set of black factory headlights and never looked back. I would probably never get another aftermarket projector unless it's a retrofit.

I don't know why people think retrofitting is hard. They made it pretty easy compared to early days. The projector bolts into the headlight hole now. A little dremel work for the custom fit for the shroud and your good to go.

The problem with that for me is I live right in the middle of NYC and street park my car. I need a plug and play solution for that reason. I've had the cops called on me a few times when I have been working on the car in the street or installing an aftermarket head unit. I would rather pay and have something that for the most part is plug and play.
