Currently have the mods in my sig. Running 18* of timing. I wanted to do something to get me down to a 3.25 or 3.2. I was looking at a ported blower, but then I'd probably need to get a ported TB to go with it, which might lead me to have to start looking at injectors, so I'm wondering if I should be looking at something different. I don't want to spend a ton of money, so an i/c is out of the question. Anyone have an opinion?
 


if you only get a ported outlet then it wont matter about the throttle body. injectors really arent needed for you at this point if all youre looking for is ~3.2 pulley. at this point you need some form of cooling or more valvetrain (cam) mods. you already have all the other bolt ons...

could invest in a meth kit, which is about $350. i love mine.
 
The ported blower I found is both in/out, so I'd probably need to be looking at a bigger TB. Technically I'd need a new pulley too (it comes with an MPS hub, but no pulley..I just have a press-on right now), plus another $20 for a 98+ vacuum harness. The problem I always seem to run into is all the extra stuff I need. I suck at customization, so plug and play is what I need. :)

As for the intercooler, that looks nice, but again, I'd have to buy up the rest of the parts.

Nick, how does the meth injection work on yours? Does it just spray automatically when you hit a certain boost level?

it comes with a progressive controller that is hooked into the MAP. it has a 'turn on' setting and a 'full on' setting. i start spraying in the 6-7 psi range and peak it out around my peak boost which is around 10-11 psi.

i havent played with it a ton, but im using it to keep my knock at zero and to keep my car consistent. i run straight meth so it adds a little octane to the mix as well. im running a 3.2 on a rocker car knock free which is about what youre looking for, right? would be something to look into. i run a devil's own progressive kit. most people run it from their washer fluid tank, but i wanted to leave mine functional so i bought a seperate tank. i probably have about $400 in my kit.
 


Yeah, I was looking at the Devil's Own kit after you mentioned it. I'd say I could probably get the complete blower for $225 maybe, add in a $20 vacuum harness and another $30 for a used pulley. Plus the supercharger gasket, injector o-rings, and TB gasket. That'd put me around $300 for just the blower setup.

Modding sucks....you think you have things where you want it and then you get to thinking there's maybe one more thing you could do..... :th_doh:
