What makes a 40th edition special?

I have a 2002 GTP.

the vin keeps coming up as a 40th edition, it doesn't look like there are any special badges. What makes the 40th car different from the standard?

The 40th's only came in the Dark Cherry Metallic "purple" ish color.

Available in coupe or sedan, GT or GTP in either form.

-DCM paint
-16 or whatever spoke chrome wheels
-Roof rails
-hood louvers like on the 01 Special Editions and 00 Daytonas
-Different spoiler that was also on the 2001 Special Edition and 2000 Daytonas
-Dual/dual exhaust tips
-Unique 40th anniversary badging
-Front/rear bumpers were all body color, no gray trim like plain GT/GTP's
-dark cherry accents on interior..seats, steering wheel, shift knob, dash trim
-floor mats embroidered with the same exterior badge

They all looked like this

If you have a VIN on the dash that pops up as a 40th but the car has none of the equipment, somebody has "rebuilt" a totalled car and used a "clean" title from a junked 40th car. Things get wierd like that with dealers and rebuilders and laws may vary.

definitely NOT a 40th ed
I don't trust the insurance company vins any way, they said my monte carlo was a sedan
