Black piece has rubber plunger type thing inside.
I took it off and noticed a crack in the rubber. I believe this is where my vacuum leak is coming from.
Would this cause a random misfire code? Or engine lean bank 1 code?

Ok well I found a crack in it and I'm getting a P0171 code twice and P0300 code. I just bought the car 3 weeks ago and my 30 day warranty is up soon. He said my warranty will not cover a misfire code unless it has to do with the lubrication parts of the engine.
I know it has champion iridium plugs (pulled one off today) and it looked ok. A little black though.
So could the booster thing cause the P0171 code?

P0171 is a vacuum leak, if that BBV has a tear/crack in it, it could cause the code.

A P0300 only being covered under a lubrication parts of a warranty???

What kinda crap is that, a misfire has nothing to do with what gets oiled in a motor and what doesnt. The misfire is almost always ignition related like I said, so plugs, wires, coil packs etc etc.

I would remove to champion plugs and put AC delco plugs in it though, champion's are a more of a chrysler product thing.

being you just bought it. what i do is, do a tune up, oil change and tranny service when i get it, as i can afford it of course. lol but this way you now have your own records for when stuff was done.

i never take someones word when buying a car, do all the regular maint stuff as soon as a i can.
