Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

So as I was doing my main tensioner last week I noticed this wire just sitting by the LIM. I have no idea what it is or where it goes. I do know my motor HAS been replaced and just want to make sure it is not something important.
If it is needed my car is a 97 gtp but the motor is prolly outta 96 Rivy.

That ground should not touch the head. It should be on 1 of the studs that go into the head.

Sent using my bionic thumbs from my sweet DROID Razr Maxx

It should go on one of the tensioner studs that go into the heads. Put the nut on the stud to hold the tensioner bracket on and then the ground with another nut to hold the on the stud

ok which stud??? Does it really matter? What about the little stud thing that the support bracket for the alt attaches to???

Yeah..that'll work

It needs to be grounded by the block. Whether it's a stud, the head, the bolt in the block right by the LIM, they are all ground.

So why am I not seeing any bad effects from it not being hooked up??? How will I know if I have it grounded good???

the big black bracket that the coils sit on, theres a couple studs that attach that to the front head. after that is mounted put the ground on one of those studs using another nut to hold it on.

as longs as its touch metal on the motor you will be good to go.

Probably because its a pretty beefy wire setup and it doesn't move around.

Still needs to be addressed and fixed.
