There is a loud creaking noise every time I shift into reverse, shift into drive, and when I first start accelerating. I'd really like to know what this is, as it's getting louder and I'm worried it's something important.

sounds like a trans mount possibly or internal trans issues?? not trying to scare you brain ha but im not sure man
 
it seriously could be almost anything with the way you described it in the suspension or drivetrain............would it be possible to get a sound clip?
 
yeah good idea sound clip it! =p if its when you shift and its a shudder like deal then its probably a mount i think?
 


Yeah its been rocking really hard when I shift it for a long time but this creaking just started a few weeks ago. The battery in my camera was dead this morning I'll have to take the vid tonight.
 
im going to say motor and trans mounts when i pulled my engine i got the mount out "duh" and it was is CRAP piss poor shape ha
 
Gunna grab the cam and go for a drive now. It's been kinda quiet today for some reason so we'll see if the cam can pick it up.
EDIT: Accidentally took the video on high quality...will be up tomorrow lol.

Vids are up, first one is the noise (Bear with me the 1st 10 or 15 seconds is me backing out of my long-ass driveway), the second is how crappy my old exhaust sounds (bought a new one today). Turn your volume up on the 1st one. I'm thinking motor mounts?? Ideas?

I listened to the vid..........I have no idea what it could be. That is a strange sound. Does it sound like metal on metal? Or from the drivetrain or more like something squeaking or rubbing?

Idk...its wierd, it just sounds liek creaking, maybe coming from the drivetrain? Idk, motor mounts maybe?
 
i have a similar sound although not as bad and not as often...and i will keep you posted as i am soon replacing struts and strut mounts...if that fixes it then great otherwise my next move is SOLID motor and tranny mounts...not to be confused with Poly or the stock liquid filled (hydraulic)

Yeah please let me know, this problem started out jsut like yours, not too often and not as loud, but it's been getting worse.
 


sorry I cant offer any insight........I have no idea.......or lots of ideas, but none other than just lots of guesses
 
Try this.

If your emergency brake works properly, Put it in park, apply the e-brake, put it in Drive, pop the hood, stand to the side of the car and with your hand apply the gas by hitting the trigger on the throttle body (just slightly) and see how much the motor rocks.

I definitely think its your motor mounts.

Thank you! Rocks like a *****. Looked through everything, front motor mounts and tranny mounts are bad.
I have no one to install this **** though since you can't come now haha, the shop wants 245 for the intall alone...
