What is this thing?

forgive me if this isn't the right place to post this....ok theres my question when i take my tail lights out (mostly to drain the gallons of water out of them) but i looked in the the back if the light housing and i saw this little yellow tab between the holes for the bulbs and i took it off and it just covers alittle hole. idk why its there or what the point is..anybody got any ideas?

it's a vent hole. nothing more, nothing less.

then why is it pluged up?..i was thinking it was a place to put one of those strobe nipple things

possibly could be what it's for. they did make pace car grand prixs after all.

yea thats why i was thinking strobe's..since there already caped do you think it'll hurt to put something in it?

well the point of vent is to let the moisture out of the TL after the bulb heats up, so leave it?

let moisture out!...these stupid thing fill up with water..my bulbs short out at least once a week even more when it rains

all of my cars have the little plug, you can also drill a hole on the underside that helps drain the taillight
