i have a 99 gtp and this gunk is all over the engine idk what it is, its kinda oily idk where it came from either if anyone can shed some light on this id be grateful

Its gunk dirt and oil mixed together. This happens on every engine of every car ever made. You want gunk gone clean the engine with some Super Green or whatever that stuff is called. Hose it down rinse it off and call it a day bro.
My car has 180k on it and its got more gunk than that plus it has dead grasshopper carcasses mixed in it looks so pretty.

Yea, mostly oil mixed with dirt.

I did both, underside and top and was super amazed.
I did nothing but spray on and spray off.

i use gunk foamy engine brite, but crc engine de greaser was on sale so i tried it out, stuff worked real good, and no smell after i hosed it off. my new go to cleaner for now.

if you still have areas of thick grease re spray and scrub the areas with a paint brush, then hose down again.

i always spray the under side first, then spray the top, with the car on ramps, or jack stands so you can get under it to spray as much engine and trans as possible.

I would have to go read the bottle. It left no ill effects on the surface car was parked over and critters that roam the yard didn't get sick.
I didn't think it smelled or anything. I just used a garden hose to spray off.

Bill recommended the stuff to me.
 


I use Purple Power to clean my garage floor. It is amazing.
Just wondering if I was "killing any critters".
 
I got it at Wal-Mart, cheap too! First got a qrt bottle, quickly realized that wasn't near enough and went back for a gallon.

It is some amazing shiz.
