Below the drivers side dash, next to the OBDII port I have a small round yellow button, anybody know what it is???

It looks factory, but I dont know...

Does it do anything when you....... push it? lol In all honesty, probably a previous owner that had either a kill switch or an aftermarket alarm installed and that was the valet button or something.

Kinda interesting HIXC has one there too. I figured he or previous owner added it as it looks like a transplanted trunk button.

it has something to do with tire presure sensors or something. my 2000 gtp doenst have it, but my friends 97 gt does

i had (what i thought was) a problem with the TPMS on my 04 when i bought it and did a lot of googling and you are correct. that yellow button is to reset the TPMS. it was only after spending A LOT of time online that i figured out that in the newer cars witha DIC that mine did not have the yellow reset button (in fact that is how is found this site).

so you are correct it is a TPMS reset.

Would be nice if I could push it and all the vacuum leaks & MAF problems would go away..

And fill the tank too....

Its for the tire pressure monitor, let some air out of one of your tires the low pressure light will kick on that button is to shut off the light.

it's 97 only
they did away w/ it in 98 since the "new" tcs didnt play well with that system
oh well i have it disabled in my car, but thanks to gm no traction control

if you get down there and look up at the button it should say calibrate tire pressure on the trim ring around the button

when you have a low tire the light comes on then you fill up your tire to the right level and the light is still on, you have to press and hold the botton to trun the light off but make sure all your tires are at the right level first
