What is best cam for High rpm power?

Z34Phoenix

Florida Tuner
Ok so the next phase after i topswap this summer is to install a cam, timing chain and tensioner. the mods i will have are:
-4t65e w/ 3.29's and 245/45-17 that help to give more grip and a slight gearing bump to an est 3.52 if compared to stock tire.
-Speed Daddy Headers
-Full 2.5" exhaust with single magnaflow muffler and resonator
-Ported Heads with Si Valves, viaton seals, L76 springs and retainers
-Ported Lower intake matched to Heads
-Ported GenIII M90 Inlet matched to TB, outlet opened up testing new shape... 3.8" pulley

Even NA, the car has plenty of power down low. So I want a cam that is going to make more mid to top end power. Cams I am looking at are the GT1/2 The XP i think is a little too much as i do not want to run a double roller chain. I will be putting on a new chain and tensioner at the same time. So what cams make more top end power?

Same reason why your speedometer is off when you get a smaller/bigger tire.

Also I love my NIC's ability to increase upper rpm power. The duration and LSA make a big difference. Just ask the lid and Cat-back modded ellisyuan catfish I gutted and grilled, with some pepper and lemon.

XP is great for higher RPM ranges.

Like stated, you can run this cam on a single. Just make sure you buy a new one.

That still does not change the physical gear ratio Ed.

Well, it doesn't change the gearing in the differential obviously, but it technically changes how a car accelerates as if you changed them to however long it takes the tire to make a full rotation vs. how many rotations the driveshaft/input makes.

Just ask yourself, what makes the numerical gearing in a diff? How is it measured?

To make decent power up top with an XP cam, you'll need 130# springs...which you should use a double rollmaster.

I would really recommend that you consider a bigger cam, especially since you have to do head work. XPZ is awesome up top.
