What is a PLOG?

OK, been here for a while, but asking a NOOB Question.

I am going to do a U-Bend Delete for my 02 GP GT n/a3800 DD. And I heard about this PLOG thing. Looks like I will need a New Resonator and Mufflers as well. Could someone please explain what the PLOG is. I got everything else figured out. Thanks.

Sorry if this is in the wrong section. Was just a General Question.

It's a front intake manifold that flows better than the stock manifold. Very easy to install but a waste of money unless your in CA because you can get headers for the same price and headers will flow much better than any manifold can.

they think the air is better over there or something. i never got the dumb rules they have. some newer cars do have ca compliant headers tho.

the diesel market is full of allowed upgrades.

being your n/a, why bother.......unless you plan on caming it or something.

Results may vary with a plog. I ran knock free with my plog downpipe combo on my 3.4 setup, so it's not a waste of money more like a results may vary kinda thing lol

Would you even really notice anything running a plog on a n/a car? And from what I understand is installing headers on a n/a car you will actually loose some power in the lower end.
If I had an N/A 3800 I would put in a HV3 get a tune run premium and maybe throw in a down pipe.

I wouldn't mod NA at all. Waste of your time. It'll still be super slow at the end of the day no matter what you do. If it's your DD, get maintenance done and keep it chugging.

how much HP is gained from an hv3? A while back I saw it and was like "I gotta have that" but I read a few things and it seemed pointless with a stock tune, or it had issues or something.

I mean, if I replace my UIM with a dorman, is it worth installing it while I'm there?

From everything I have read the HV3 is about the best mod for a n/a car. Idk about the 30 hp that ZZP claims but its supposed to make the n/a 3800 more responsive.

There was one for sale a few months ago, but I think it was for a l26. You could always run an l26 uim its better anyway.
