Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What happened to TDC Racing???

Wow... Man down. We should deff not let this effect the relationship we have with the other sellers. It sux that someone can pull one over on the forum like he did. No one saw it coming, but perhaps there is a lesson learned. We just have to be more careful. Somehow that deal on the gauges did seem a bit too good to be true. Should have know something was up... And I almost got in on that action seeing how I wanna start tuning. I really hope everyone gets back every hard-earned penny that was lost.
i agree and disagree...as long as everyone gets their money its a good thing although it sucks that some had to suffer. seeing that the community banded together to go after parker legally and ethically why would anyone reading this dream of trying to pull a scam like this again. it didnt work now and as long as we back our fellow pgf members it will never happen. at least will never happen successfully. also...look at how everyone was looking out for everyone else....this event has proved the loyalty everyone has to this community. i wish u all the best at getting your money back and hope none of u lose even a penny.

BTW.... I personally took care of officially banning TDCracing from the Kansas City boards this weekend. One less GP community to try and pull this crap on.
banning him personally will do little good in my eyes...i can almost gaurantee he is here now...i know he hasnt logged in under tdc racing but ill put money on the fact that he has another name hes using. not to scam anyone anymore...hed be retarded to have not learned that this wont work here...but to stay informed. if he is retarded hes already gearing up under the new name to try again

Could be a possibility but as far as i know the mods can identify his ip address and see if he is trying to or has created another account.

I know of other forms that have done this.

I agree we don't ban him for at least another 2 weeks to see if he shows his face.

The money is tied up in the paypal claim still pending refund. Says it could take 7 days to show up in the bank account... I'm on day 4 of that, and I ordered it on the 26th. I wonder if the funds are even available to transfer back to our accounts... I sent a nice message on myspace to his wife/gf/exwife a few days ago and it says she has read it, but no response. It was a nice message too, nothing bad, just letting her know that there is over $4000 and there could be criminal charges, that we needed to hear from him, or any explanation... This is getting pretty childish of him.

Damn, same thing here, I called Visa and they said I need to wait 30 days from date of purchase to file a claim with them. As of now has anyone actually cash in their account?

I will have to talk to my bank now paypal took it from my debit card so maybe there is still a little hope, but **** TDC

Ah fvck this mother fvcking sh*t. I've filed a claim now.

Going to talk to my bank tomorrow to see what they can do. Most likely nothing, but its worth a shot.

I hope AmericanSoldier can talk the the local authorities soon and update them that we are not getting any refunds. Hopefully they can pass on some info on the preferred way to get in touch with them and send any documents necessary to prove that each of us was defrauded and for how much money. If any of you used a credit card go that route. My paypal account draws from my bank account so I'm SOL for sure. I'll be changing to only credit card immediately. For most of us a legal remedy is the last chance we will have.

Oh, I wholeheartedly agree. I banned his username, as well as IP and email addresses because that's all the options I have as an admin on the KCPMC boards. He could easily sign up for a new account from a different IP and email, but I regularly check out new member's info and it's a heck of a lot easier to track on our local boards with less than 300 members total. :th_winking:

Have you tried filing a report your self with the local pd
Every one will need to file to get things heading in the right path

Nope. We just got the emails a few hours ago. I wanted to exhaust the paypal option first. I think it might go smoother if the local PD has a heads up and if there is one officer that will handle it, it might be better to get that info first so we can all direct correspondence more efficiently. AmericanSoldier already talked with someone there. I'm hoping that they will open a case and provide an email address and/or some other specific way to get in touch with whomever will be handling the case. Just flooding them with complaints might not be the best way to go. IDK. This will bug me enough that in a few days I'll contact them if we don't hear something else first.

Well, I just got off the phone with the Paypal dispute department. They said that the seller tried to do a refund from their bank account but had insufficient funds. He told me that sellers will do that to buy them some time and close the claim. He said once a refund is a attempted then he claim is closed. If no funds were refunds Paypal does a "Best Effort" recovery to get the funds back. In not so many words he said I'm screwed unless Visa can do something for me. I asked that the claim be escalated to the fraud department and he said they had already had a complaint going for him in the fraud department.

Just so everyone knows, Paypal does not guarantee or protect transactions outside eBay. They will only try to get your money back.

Blah
