im looking at getting an intense racing pcm and they are asking me options for WOT ignition timing tables.... what am i being asked. i use only 93 octane gas no less and if i race i have a booster in it. whats the difference in the degrees?

Step 1: Choose what company you want
Step 2: Buy the PCM
Step 3: Keep everything normal...don't tell you you want extra crap because you don't have enough mods for it
Step 4: wait
Step 5: Get it in the mail and install and enjoy
Step 6: To go faster, get a custom tune...don't deal with this mail order crap.

Step 11endy million: Research. If your on a car forum and havent learned what WOT is...I suggest searching, googling, and lots of reading for you sir.

start looking local for shops that have a good rep on the street and see what they have for online reviews and such
that or post in the forums in your area to find a tuner

I've been around the since the time that DHP and 3800performance PCM's where the only available aftermarket. Intense started doing PCM's and toasted quite a few engines by ramping up the timing tables. Then it was found that their tranny settings weren't agressive, but they just maxed every value out. Hap-hazard tuning practices...

I know ZZP did have some issues in the past also, but not nearly as much/as bad as Intense.

DHP is the way to go in this case.

my intense pcm had factory trans settings...

it blew pee-pee hole, 9* of knock, I'm surprised my motor is still alive.

then i had a reputable shop dyno tune the car...

$428 later, i went 2 mph slower in the 1/4 and a hole lot of wtf in my file

now a local member is helping me out...

He couldn't use anything in my pcm, so he started from a factory gtp file, street tuning to come, we'll see where that takes the car
