what does a bad TC sound like?

like the topic states, has anyone heard what a bad or in the process of a bad torque converter sounds like? since i swapped motors the sound is still there. i reused the flexplate as it appeared to be not cracked and its a L36 because the TC i am using is a zzp 245mm 2750 stall(blue outer coating).

im getting a metallic clicking noise that does not go away when applying load on the plate. i had a bad flexplate in thepast b4 so this is not a cracked flexplate. i also torqued and aplied blue loctite on the 3 18mm tc to flexplate bolts. b4 i applied the blue loctite i did disconnect the flexplate from the tc and started the car. there was NO more metallic clicking noise when i did that. so im leaning towards its NOT a motor issue but something else i cannot figure out:th_scratchhead::th_angry-teeth:. the trans is a 3TEP trans with less than 4K miles on it and has a 300M input shaft and a GM 1" chain with the 3TEP works. im also running a gm auxilary trans cooler fwiw.

any help is greatly appreciated on what a bad tc sounds like.

is it also not recommended if im using a l36 flexplate instead of a drilled l67/l32 to work with the 245mm 2750 stall converter from zzp?
