So i have really been looking into getting a cam lately and i guess i keep finding these "hidden" requirements.
So if i bought a (xp) cam what else would i need i read you need modified retainers double chains and other stuff orginially i wanted to get the xpz but it says you need modified heads and thats like 1,600 alone for the heads at zzp i just dont see what all i need.

xp cam....

needed:

cam.....derp

installation kit from zzp there are 4 choices, pick one with the most ****

105 springs

modded retainers

zzp valve seals

timing set, stock replacement will be fine.

have a nice day

Springs
Valve seals
Modded/Manley retainers
Camshaft
Front cover gasket
LIM gasket
SC gasket
VC gaskets (with grommets)
Reusable rocker bolts
Valve spring compressor
Air chuck to keep valves up with air compressor )at least 100psi)
New timing chain
RTV

i realize that...and you filled them lol mainly just misc gaskets.

you could do new lifters too while you're in there...not required but if you want to then go for it..

all together you're looking at about 900

ZZP VC gaskets are made for their aluminum valve cover. Which are slightly smaller than a stock. They are also a harder rubber and dont' come with grommets.

Here's ZZP's in a valve cover. Look at the bends.

Their LIM gaskets are also goofy. They just don't fit right.

Me, I personally buy GM LIM's, Fel Pro VC's (with grommets), depends on which charger I have/using/IC etc, fel pro TB, Dorman elbows. All sourcable local with discounts.
