What do you guys think I should do

Alright I have a Grand Prix GXP with about 110k miles on it. The damn tranny just broke down on the thing and costed me 2k to replace. Now however, I got the car back, and after a couple days it won't start up. I took it back to the dealership my grandpa works at to take a look at it, and they think it could be something else going bad (not the battery, possibly the starter). Now I'm left with two options here. Trade in the vehicle to them for what they offered me on it ($4500) or pay to have the problem figured out and fixed. I'm really torn, on one hand I'm worried about dumping a bunch more money into the damn thing, but on the other I feel like I'm getting ripped off only getting $4500 back on my car. I feel like if I got it fixed I could resell it privately for a lot more. What do you all think? Need some quick opinions because I need to figure out what I want to do with it ASAP. Also I've never sold a vehicle privately, so I don't know how hard it is. How much do you guys think I could get off it if I got it fixed up and working properly? Everything else seems to be fine, brake pads, tires, etc.. are all pretty new. I also have a nice soundsystem installed (might be incentive for some or I might just sell the stuff independently).

So I've thought about it and I'm thinking I could make a lot more money selling it once I fix it up. Also I could sell all my sound equipment in it then too (which is gonna take a little bit to take back out and put back in the factory stuff). And I could probably find a better deal on a car elsewhere besides that dealership. There's only 2 I'm really interested in and I'm not completely sold on either and I feel like I'd be paying way too much with only getting 4500 for my trade in. I'm probably gonna look for a new car and buy one and in the mean time just try to sell the grand prix. Even if it takes a while that's alright because I have enough saved up to buy a car at this point, so I could just hold onto it until I can find someone to sell it to.

I would still like to hear your opinions though. Also how much do you think I could sell the grand prix for? It's a 2005 GXP and 110k miles on it like I mentioned in the OP. Brand new tranny now too so that should raise the value a bit (especially since trannies going out is common on these cars, a potential buyer wouldn't need to worry about that). Like I said I have no experience selling a car (only traded in and totaled haha) so I'm not really sure what I should be looking for. Figure some of you grand prix experts might know.
