• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

So today I found a guy parting out a Grand Prix and found some basically mint condition seats from a Daytona 500 that i got dirt cheap. It is installed but due to being night time i have no pics of the install, but here it is! The 40th seats will now be for sale along with the trim as a package deal.

I tried to so an EGR delete and found that my EGR tube was broke in half! Also the bolt on the the back side of the tube header is seized up grrr! Put some heat on it soaked it in wd40 and no luck. So I did what any Oklahoma boy would do I bent the sh!t out of the tube until it didnt leak anymore,(maybe) Have to wait until next week so I can get a real mechanic to pop that thing off...

yea i liked it to but i wanted to change it up, i cant find myself door panels anyway for them so that kind of got me upset. i like them new interior it looks really nice

Damn, maybe the rockers(something in the valve train)? I wanna say the pistons(possibly) but i know our engines arent interference motors. Check the oil, you could be to low or something couldve gotten in there(thru the intake into the chamber, etc.)

Take the spark plugs out and use a mirror or the camera scope to see whats in there. Even a stethescope may help you pin point the exact cylinder.

Good luck.....

Would look great in my newspaper car. I'll drive up to PA and we can install them. $100. $150 with installation. :)

Went back to the junkyard and got the spring grill looking thing for the front seat, since I couldn't take the back rest off the sedan seat. Also grabbed a new piece of foam for underneath. Now to figure out how to take off the side plastic piece with the electronic controls and back adjuster for the seat. I got the two screws off, but the latch I can't figure out. I also grabbed set of the things for making the seat go up/down and forward/back, as my old Impala had them go bad once. Already had the seat out, so might as well spend $2 on some parts I can use in the GP or Imp.

with the seat out of the car, pop the corner plastic off, ( look for small screws) you will see 2 bolts a side i think, take them out and lift the back part of the seat up, un hook any heated seat wires first.

when i took mine off, it made a sound like the ratchet in the seat back lever broke or something, but it just clicked all the way up when i took the seat back off. after that the bottom is cake and the backs cover can come off with ease. the back cover wraps around the seat sides (where the bolts are) and uses velcro to keep it under the plastic parts. note how that goes so it goes back together right.

the bottom cover is held on by the front and sides and back by long clips attached to the seat cover, clipping to the seat frame.

the lever, it pulls straight off. i used a screw driver to pry it off its knob. carefully.
