• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

Sooooooo this just happened :D

look at you Mr yellow handle pump.

thought my brakes felt a bit spongy, checked the level, it was a bit low, started to think brake line, then saw it was soaking wet under the master.....i just put this damn thing on a few months back. i got a warranty but still need to pay to have the abs BS re homed. got to love 98's.

I just put 2 gallons in with my 93 to lean it out and ease it into E85. Narrowband stays around 910 at wot instead of 960+. Runs much better. 100% E85 will happen soon though.

Have you tried the redneck way? Turn the key on, with it up in the air, turn one of the wheels with the transmission in neutral. ABS should freak out and apply the pump. I've never tried it but I hear it works.

Hmm... you've all got me thinking now.. haha. I was gonna stay on the 3.5 with 21ish degrees of timing, but I could run my belt wrap on a 3.2 and it would look good hahaha.

you plan on running e85 why in the flying hell would you leave the 3.5 on? that i dont get. leaving that pulley your not taking advantage of the e85 and just getting worse mileage.

I was just gonna add timing, put dropping pullies does make a bit more sense. I just didn't think I could get away with any smaller than a 3.4 or maybe a 3.3, so I figured I might as well just run a ton of timing on the 3.5. If I could do a 3.2 I'll do it.

thank you! so umm how about all these people that claim you cant run e85 on stock tune? is it optimum prolly not does it work yes.

now im sure i already know the answer but please let me ask is it worth it?

To be completely fair, a bone stock tune did not technically work for me. Do to the high ethanol content (over 85 in the winter), I was over the 16.4 max LTFT limit. Which set a CEL. Once I scaled the IFR, everything was good. E85 is definitely worth the effort. Out here, the highest we can get is 91 octane. I was seeing 4+ degrees of knock on a stock pulley with headers on 91. E85 killed every bit of knock I had.

Stock tune with just bigger injectors?

42.5's

18.5-19#s of boost on 2.8 lol the whine alone is worth it!

and bah god damn piss winter gas was messing with you. i drop to 1/4 tank or little less fill up with e85 call it a day. i dont think you were low enough on piss gas for the e85 to work really. per your 2 gallons added to 93 comment. had you gone at least 3/4 tank e85 im skeptical you ever would have had a light come on.

just my 2 cents.

Re: What did you do to your Grand Prix today?

Installed power log, and cold air intake, broke my oil dip stick and ripped the spark plug connector right outta the boot of number 3 lol so a 1 hour 30 kinute job turns into 3 hours, kept me busy for a little bit cant complain, needed new wires anyway. Laid some rubber, 170 in a 60 zone, was a day for the books.
