• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

To do the dash it's only like 15-20 bolts to it being on the floor. If you don't want airbags, I'd say toss in the parts and yank the bulb w/o hooking the bags up.

Yeah. Gp trans mounts look just like the engine mounts do but smaller. That one is a really basic mount and doesn't have as much to it. It may be due to GP's being oil filled

So is the regal one a upgrade per say? If so I'll add it too my list. Also scotty what did you coat/fill your mount with. With my leaky oil pan i probably should cover thr new one to stop it from being destroyed.

i drilled, drained and filled both mounts with P&L caulk. then smeared it over the top of the mount to help keep oil from killing the rubber.

im no fan of the regal mount. i like the gp trans mount better. the trans mount was not to old really when i swapped it out and it was beat up pretty good.

mine were filled with antifreeze too, not oil.

make sure you fill the bottom part of the mounts too.

Idk I changed one of those mounts on a Montana with 190k and it wasn't destroyed or anything. The motor mount, that's another story.
Yours looks like the rubber was separating from the metal. Weird.
And the motor mount, that's the second one you've had? Looks like it had oil on it

its the middle button of the regal mount, with weight on it, it pushes up from the mount, how you know its bad if its sticking up over a inch. that one was pushing up a daisy lol it dont "look" bad but its used up.

Right, was the one you're speaking of an OEM or aftermarket? Montana's have the 3.4 and are lighter so maybe that's why it looked OK. The pin was up a bit but not too much.

one in the pic was a duralast. the one i took out before that was really trashed, seeing how much this last new one was pushing up i went to a diy solid gp mount, motor hardly moves now. and i added Polly rad side bushings too. made it even tighter then flipped dog bones.
