• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

FORCED INDUCTION!!! I will never go back. Thinking about one of those popular 2.0L Turbo set-ups that lots of cars have for my next ride in the future. However, I'm pretty sure a SC is much more reliable & probably a lot easier to maintain &/or fix. I've pulled mine out of my car at least 5 times & had the nosedrive rebuilt for like $30 in parts & $50 in labor from Jason F :D

I don't know what makes you think supercharged cars are more reliable and/or easier to fix than turbo cars.

I was referring to just the turbo system itself vs. the actual supercharger. From what I've read on the web a long time ago, I recall that the supercharger has a lot less moving parts hence less potentially problematic areas. I don't know sh1t about turbos except that it runs off exhaust gasses, has a turbine or something, a blow-off valve, & they make a hiss when bypassing unused boost. I know they should be more fuel efficient vs. a SC. Maybe you could enlighten me ;D

And my dad, but that was just TCC and PCS issues.

Moms car slippes because i think someone did a flush on it. But i could be wrong. It actually doesn't slip much after i did a pan drop with Dex VI and Lucas. Bangs into gear once in a while she says tho.

That's a good point. Funny, though, with my personal experience I imploded the motor & not the trans. I did have the trans rebuilt waaay back in 2008 IIRC, & did a motor swap for a pretty good price in 2011. The trans rebuild was a LONG time before I started learning to work on my car & knew anything about the SC & how it works & headers, rockers, pulleys, and all that. ~30K+ on the used motor. Runs like a dream :) Odometer says 205,000+, Lol :D

Sitting in my work truck watching the mpgs go down. Over in Ohio with a field harvest. I gave up and decided to sit inside in some heat. Its kinda chilly out.

I watched the MPG's drop in the F250 yesterday when I was hauling the damn trailer. It was around 14 mpg when I left. By the time I got to the destination it was down to 10.2.

... I imploded the motor & not the trans. ...
That's kinda my point right there...lol...you RARELY hear an N/A guy talk about imploding ANYTHING...and the S/C engine specific forum typically has ALOT more posts in it than the N/A one...lol And I'm 39, married, three kids...I have not time or money to mess with my car at this point. I'd love to be able to, I just can't at this point in my life.

today i did some surgery and cut out the p.o.s after market alarm system with auto start and started reconnecting the wires where they are supposed to be
