Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

What did you do to your Car today?

Finally installed my Aerofoce gauge. Ran the power wire using an add-a-fuse kit into mall pgm fuse and for whatever reason blew bolth my headlights. Only hi beams. Low's and drls still work. Swapped the bulbs and fixed that problem. What did I do wrong?
Probably nothing if it doesn't happen again just crap luck.

The day I tried to care about it looks, it rained right after I washed it. Nonetheless looks better than it did.

I'm being pressured by my boyfriend to post a pic of it... So fine.
Don't hate me.

The $700 car is being weird. For a while it was throwing a p0717 code, an input speed sensor... the end result was that 4th gear had a mind of its own... sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. Sometimes it would act like the pcs was bad and pop into gear rather than shift normally.

I cleared the code with a scanner and it was replaced by a p1810... and now it pops into gear a bunch. So I'm back to a bad pcs?

Woohoo! Transmission is in and shifts better than the old one ever thought of shifting. Under light throttle I barely feel the shifts at all, under heavy throttle it's a bit firmer but nothing neck snapping. Just like I like it, man oh man I am a happy camper tonight!

nope. it'll stay there until winter. I suppose I could put it back in the hood but meh. I couldnt get the hood open last time I tried..

Up in that part of the country it's like that year round. I actually bought a couple factory block heaters when I was in AK last time. Since every car and truck have one.

I use tape because I hate getting the wax off the plastics. So I'll gladly spend some time doing it lol.

WA is a pretty far haul for a polish job. Haha. And I haven't done my own car in a year or better.

I learned my lesson on that after polishing the work truck. There are still areas of the black plastic that have wax and/or compound in them. LOL

As for what I did to the car, I drove it home 250 miles from Norwalk, OH. Tranny cooler seemed to do good on the trip. I did see 190 as a high, but at that time the coolant was a little warm too. As soon as the coolant started dropping back to normal the tranny temps dropped to the 175 range.

I still may go with a T valve so I can run stand alone in the summer and turn the valve to run in series in the winter.

Met up with an old friend I haven't seen in two years and tore some fields up in his 2010 Jeep. No doors and no roof, what a fun car. 3.8 six speed, 2" lift and 30" tires. We had some fun today. Then I scared him ****less in the Regal lol. I failed to mention it's supercharged before I gave him a ride. It may not be very quick but he was very impressed lol. All in all a decent day today. A good start to this week.

Rinseless washed the car with Optimum No Rinse Wash & Wax. Good stuff.

You sure can ask. I use Poorboys world Products. They are reasonably priced and I've had really good experience with them.
This particular job was with my PC and Poorboys Professional Polish on a green pad. Then I followed up with meguiars yellow #26 wax also applied with the PC on a blue pad. I usually throw layers of glaze and sealant in between but I didn't with this truck.

Nice job on the truck. That's a lot of real estate. Good thing you had the PC. Also good technique on taping off the trim. M26 is a good wax but I would have used something that lasts a little longer and is more durable such as a sealant like ultimate wax or M21 on a daily driver.

I learned my lesson on that after polishing the work truck. There are still areas of the black plastic that have wax and/or compound in them. LOL

I highly recommend you go to your local auto parts store and pick up the new Mothers Back to Black Heavy Duty Trim Cleaner. It's a cleaner and one of it's attributes is removing old wax. O'reilly has a special right now that if you buy the cleaner you get a free back to black trim restorer which works great with the trim cleaner. I call it the B2B duo.

Thanks Guz! And also Thanks for that tip. I'm almost out of 26 so I'll try the 21 next. I should also pick up some of that b2b cleaner. I have the regular restorer but sometimes it just doesn't seem to have the punch to get the really bad stuff off.

Clay got the motor in Keith's car running. Took three days cause the replacement motor came out of an h body. But he didn't break anything
I'm confused.. why did coming from an H body make it a three day swap? Ohhhhh Clay was involved, got it!

You guys know the difference in a motor from an H vs a W body? Maybe an alt bracket and a couple other minor things. Same as various years of W body.
