Any tips on replacing a drivers side axle? I'll be doing mine tomorrow.

being you got them stock wheels still. pop the center cap off and take the axle nut off first, while the car is on the ground still.

then the brakes, the axle needs to be popped out, so pry bar wedged in between the fat part of the axle and the tranny, push the axle in, and kick the pry bar to pop it out.

if you have a pry bar like this they pop out with a flick of the wrist.

Just was asking. Might get a pair of headlights.. even tho mine aren't that bad yet.. and i could do a restore on them like i have in the past and they turned out great.

Clay.. we should warn you upfront. If you put pressure on the axle to pull it out and don't do a quick pop, the compression clip likes to get stuck and really screw with you way worse than it has to. If you have that gearwrench prybar Scott mentions.. it' honestly is a couple of seconds. I am singlehandedly trying to get everyone I know to buy one. Gearwrench 82248 Look it up and you'll cringe at the price. Love that prybar though.

Also..since you break everything .. likely your output shaft will come with the axle.. if that happens, post up. We'll tell you how to fix the issue.

Was totally breaking hard to make a left turn in the GXP & I lost power steering. Also, I was not going slow, so that was definitely a **** your pants moment.

Wife took the car in to see about having the shop weld up the few holes in the exhaust. No can do. They wanted some $380 to install a new Rez and catback flange. I said eff that. Now I'm on the hook to find a replacement catback ASAP. Since I'm replacing I'll go dual outlets since I've got the new valence at home

search e bay for grand prix cat backs. or the pipes. if yours is all factory id just toss it all and get all new if its in the budget.

the e bay cat backs are like 200 shipped more or less. thats res pipes and 2 mufflers.

Out of random I have this loud clicking and ticking when I turn the wheel I can actually feel it threw the floor board and steering wheel, I can't seem to find the source of the noise it's it's kinda scaring me.
