Finished the cooler yesterday, didn't really help much the trans still gets just as hot just takes a lot longer, I'm gonna try a fluid & filter change even tho I don't think it's bad and see if that helps, if not I'm gonna try a different cooler

I had a nice easy GTP A/C blastin driving day, love it when school is out traffic-wise. Shot urethane primer on my roof rails the other day. I should sand them now, lol

There was a herd of shiny Broncos in front of the shop this afternoon. Yeah I did some part of all three of those bastards.

Also been having an enjoyable work task of late. Don't get me wrong life sucks but fixing old cars is my bag, dig? Traditional bed mods to a '41 Ford Pickup: capping rails n gate, hidden latches, smoothed welds and corner seams, roll pan with frenched teardrops and tag plus corner exhaust outlets. Wicked fun, man. Not without blood and burns, mind you.

Normal drive to work and back, got a clip for the bad drivers videos as always. Also today at work I saw a huge wall of clouds approaching, looked really odd, and got way more scary as it came closer. Lots of the color green. I will get pics up in a different thread maybe.

Also for the first time in a while, floored it passing some guy driving slow and with smokey oil burning exhaust. I don't get it. How can a car that can take off throwing you in your seat at 0-35 mph be so slow at 55+? I was going like 25 mph and floored it passing. It was raining lightly but the roads were wet from previous heavier rain. Really grips the road well though.
 
^^^gearing. At those speeds with my GTP if I don't manually downshift to 2nd, it's pitiful. Most of the tunes you get fix that problem (or so I hear), the PCM only downshifts to 3rd, not 2nd.
 


Moved some stuff around in prep of putting on new valve cover gaskets. One of the 10mm bolts holding crap in was so damn tight I had to get my 1/2" drive 4 foot cheater!

Also had a real long contemplation about painting a few things blue.... Then I realized my car would look like the ****ing dallas cowboys, and I sure couldn't have that *shrugs*

That's what I was thinking about the gearing these cars have, although on the freeway mine will go into 2nd even at speeds like 65 I think.
 
Ever since the one time she let me down one time by not downshifting, I don't even try. The one time I'm talking about was when a Mitu****si Dynamite (or whatever they're called) decided to try and race me. I gunned it and it down shifted to 3rd instead of second and fell flat on it's face. Only race I've lost, lol. Stupid PCM.
